A premium roof, built to carry your solar.

We replace roofs as an Owens Corning™ Roofing Preferred Contractor — TruDefinition® Duration® and Oakridge® architectural shingles installed as a complete Owens Corning system, with extended warranties that only Owens Corning's Preferred and Platinum contractors are authorized to offer. And because we're also a solar contractor, the re-roof and the array are designed, installed, and warrantied together by one accountable team.

A premium roof, built to carry your solar.

Owens Corning Preferred Contractor

Vetted under Owens Corning's published program standards — fully licensed and insured, at least $1 million in general liability coverage, and an approved business credit rating. One of three tiers in its national contractor network.

Extended warranties unlocked

Only Preferred and Platinum contractors are authorized to offer Owens Corning's System Protection and Preferred Protection extended warranties — up to a 50-year TRU PROtection® period plus 10-year workmanship coverage.

A system, not just shingles

Underlayment, ice & water barrier, starter, hip & ridge, and balanced ventilation installed as one engineered Owens Corning system — qualifying Owens Corning components share the TRU PROtection® period of the shingle above them.

Solar-ready by design

Flashing and penetrations are planned around your array from the start, so the new roof and the solar are engineered as one project and last together.

The roof, in detail

Owens Corning shingles — and the system around them

We re-roof with Owens Corning architectural shingles installed as a complete Owens Corning system, because that's what the extended warranties require. The specs below come from Owens Corning's published product data.

  • SureNail® Technology — a wide, highly visible engineered woven fabric strip in the nailing zone, found only on the Duration® Series, creating Triple Layer Protection® where it overlays the common bond.
  • Owens Corning's published testing vs. wide single-layer nailing zones: up to 9× better nail blow-through resistance, up to 2.5× better nail pull-through resistance, up to 2× better delamination resistance, and up to 200% wider common bond area.
  • StreakGuard® algae resistance keeps deep colors from streaking — backed by a 25-year algae resistance limited warranty when the system includes Owens Corning hip & ridge shingles.
  • Cool Roof Collection color options (Duration COOL®) available where California cool-roof requirements apply.
  • As a Lifetime shingle, Duration® qualifies for the full 50-year TRU PROtection® period when we install it under a Preferred Protection warranty.

15 years under Preferred Protection (Duration® & Oakridge®)
  • Qualifying Owens Corning components share the TRU PROtection® period of the shingle installed over them — a mix-and-match roof can't say that.
  • Up to a 50-year non-prorated TRU PROtection® period on Lifetime shingles: material defects and the labor, tear-off, and disposal to fix them.
  • 10 years of workmanship coverage under Preferred Protection — application errors repaired with labor, materials, tear-off, and disposal covered.
  • Full tear-off to a clean deck is required — which is when we inspect and repair decking, exactly where solar mounts will anchor.
  • We register your warranty with Owens Corning within the required 60 days of installation — it isn't left as homeowner homework.

Preferred Protection Roofing System Limited Warranty — up to a 50-year non-prorated TRU PROtection® period plus 10-year workmanship coverage; one-time transferable.

What “Owens Corning Preferred” actually means

Owens Corning's Roofing Contractor Network has three tiers — an entry level, Preferred, and Platinum — and the Preferred tier has published requirements: at least $1 million in general liability insurance, full licensing and insurance, and an approved business credit rating. Owens Corning describes these as contractors “who meet high standards and strict requirements for professionalism and reliability.” The status matters for one practical reason: only Preferred and Platinum contractors are authorized to offer Owens Corning's extended system warranties — and every extended warranty registered is followed by a homeowner survey from GuildQuality, an independent third party. (Like every network member, we're an independent contractor, not an affiliate of Owens Corning.)

  • Vetted: $1M+ liability insurance, licensing, and credit standing
  • Authorized to offer Owens Corning's extended system warranties
  • Every registered warranty triggers an independent GuildQuality survey

Re-roof and solar, bundled as one project

We're a roofing contractor and a solar contractor under one CSLB license (#1023627), so the re-roof and the array share one crew, one schedule, and one workmanship warranty. Every solar penetration is flashed as part of the roofing scope — planned into the system from the first design, not cut into a finished roof by a second company — which means no finger-pointing between two contractors when something needs attention years later.

  • One crew and one schedule — no waiting between contractors
  • Solar penetrations flashed as part of the roofing scope
  • One workmanship warranty covering the roof and the array

Panels already on the roof that needs replacing? One in-house team handles solar panel removal & reinstallation — detach, re-roof, reset, and recommission under one warranty.

Re-roof first, solar second — in that order

Solar panels carry 25-year warranties — so the roof under them should be ready for the same horizon. If your roof is near the end of its life, replacing it before the array goes on avoids paying to remove and re-install panels later. We assess the roof first, tell you honestly whether it needs replacement, and plan the flashing, penetrations, and layout as one project.

  • Honest roof assessment before any solar design
  • Avoid a costly panel remove-and-reinstall later
  • Shingle and panel warranties aligned on the same horizon

Roof already sound? Then it's straight to residential solar design.

It's one of the three tiers in the Owens Corning Roofing Contractor Network — above the entry level. To hold it, a roofer must meet Owens Corning's published requirements: at least $1 million in general liability insurance, full licensing and insurance as required by law, and an approved business credit rating — in Owens Corning's words, contractors “who meet high standards and strict requirements for professionalism and reliability.” Network contractors are independent companies, not affiliates of Owens Corning, and every extended warranty registered is followed by a homeowner survey from GuildQuality, an independent third party.
