Unirac mounting systems for the roof you own

OC Solar works with Unirac mounting systems when the selected rail, attachment, and roof assembly fit the engineered design. Unirac's portfolio includes rail-based systems such as SOLARMOUNT and NXT UMOUNT plus options for different roof surfaces and project types.

The useful answer

What Unirac contributes

Unirac offers multiple mounting families because one attachment method does not fit every roof. OC Solar starts with roof material, structural conditions, wind exposure, array layout, module compatibility, and approved details, then selects the mounting assembly that satisfies the project—not the other way around.

The finished array should look clean, but the more important result is a documented load path and a roof-specific waterproofing approach. OC Solar includes the selected mounting system in the permit and construction package so it can be inspected and serviced later.

Why it can matter

Three decisions behind the brand name

Multiple roof solutions

Unirac publishes mounting options for pitched roofs, flat roofs, metal roofs, and ground-mounted projects.

Rail-based choices

SOLARMOUNT and NXT UMOUNT provide different rail and installation approaches for residential and commercial arrays.

Code-aware design

The chosen configuration must follow the product listing, engineering tables, module approvals, and local plan-set requirements.

Before you approve a proposal

Verify the complete system.

  1. 1Choose the attachment for the actual roof surface and structure.
  2. 2Verify the module and mounting combination against the current product documentation.
  3. 3Coordinate fire pathways, edge setbacks, wire management, and roof drainage.

Questions homeowners ask

Unirac FAQ

Does OC Solar use Unirac mounting systems?+

Yes. OC Solar works with Unirac and may specify its mounting products when they fit the roof, structure, module, electrical layout, engineering, and availability.

What is the difference between SOLARMOUNT and NXT UMOUNT?+

Both are rail-based Unirac systems, but they use different components and design rules. The project engineer and installer select the appropriate system from roof type, loads, module compatibility, and the approved plan.

Is solar mounting visible after installation?+

Most mounting hardware is beneath or at the edges of the modules. Rail finish, array height, end treatment, roof geometry, and wire management all affect how clean the completed array looks.
