Thank you OC Solar, my solar system is finally generating power again, so relieved... excellent from start to finish, so glad I was referred to you, customer for life!

We recently completed our solar and Powerwall 3 installation project with OC Solar. While the physical installation and the final outcome turned out well, the journey to get here was frustrating. After initial payment, we experienced severe communication gaps and extended project stalls, leaving our system offline while we had to constantly chase the company for basic updates. However, once senior team members like Savannah and Jesse stepped in toward the end, they took ownership, fixed the communication hurdles, pushed through the utility corrections with SCE, and got us fully across the finish line with PTO. Appreciated the hard work at the end, but the initial drop in communication prevents a higher rating.

Everything went as planed with no problems. From the delivery and installation of the panels and as well as the electrical panel upgrade, Smooth as silk installation and set up.

Poor communication and project management. My project has been underway for 8 weeks and I’m still likely weeks away from having a functional system (despite having paid over $30K out of pocket). I’ve had to repeatedly chase the team for basic updates with no follow through. Throughout the entire process, I do not believe the team followed up with me directly, I have had to chase every single update since signing the contract. The original system design I agreed to did not fit my roof (despite them measuring on-site before I approved the quote), during install many roof tiles were damaged and replaced with used (very dirty moss covered tiles). Hopefully I have a functioning system sometime soon, but I have been extremely disappointed so far.

Straight from the platforms — our Google, Yelp, and BBB profiles are all linked on this page, so you're reading live reviews from Orange County and Southern California homeowners, not a curated wall. If you're comparing Orange County solar companies, read each company's most recent reviews rather than the pinned ones, and check how they respond to critical reviews — that tells you how a contractor behaves after install day.
You call us — the same local company that installed your system, not a national call center. Every install carries OC Solar's in-house workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranties on your panels, inverters, and battery, and 24/7 monitoring usually surfaces an issue before you'd notice it. Our Irvine-based service team handles diagnosis and repair directly, and if a failed part is covered by a manufacturer warranty we'll say so — you shouldn't pay for what's already covered.
